After we finished our 2nd amazing tour in Northern Spain (which we will be blogging about imminently with some incredible photos!), we had the unbelievably great fortune to have a 26 hour layover in Madrid on our way back to Paris from San Sebastian.
We had just enough time to go see what was, without a doubt, one of the most impressive, visually-arresting expositions of any artist I have ever seen. Hieronymus Bosch has always been one of my favorite painters of all time and seeing this many of his pieces in one place (The Prado in Madrid) was a dream come true.
I think we stood in front of the Garden of Earthly Delights for well over a half an hour and I felt like I might faint. Absolutely a life altering experience.
